NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. —The Merrimack women's soccer team vaulted to its first win of the 2020 season off of a three-point game from
Rebecca Harty, and a clean sheet from
Megan Langlois for a 2-0 victory over the University of Maine on Sunday.

The Summary
- In the 15th minute, Rebecca Harty earned a free kick opportunity after getting hurled down heading into the offensive half. Harty squared up for the kick, sending in a soaring arching shot that sailed over the hands of the goalkeeper and tucked in under the cross bar for her first goal of the year.
- In the second half, the Warriors made light work of a corner kick. Harty took the opportunity, sending in a long ball that was headed down in the box by Bridget Austin, where it was sent in by Erin Tyldesley in a flurry of activity along the goal line at the 52nd minute.

- Offensively, the Warriors posted 11 shots and five shots on goal, while the Black Bears posted 15 shots and eight shots on goal.
- The Warriors took seven corner kicks on the afternoon, converting on one, while only allowing the Black Bears' one corner attempt.
- The victory was Langlois' first clean sheet since a 0-0 draw at Wagner on November 3, 2019.
- Merrimack honored seniors Megan Langlois, Nicole Langlois, Katelyn Richardson, Grace Buchholz and Bridget Austin prior to the afternoon contest.
