HAVERHILL, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team played its first dual match of the spring season on Saturday afternoon against Boston University, hosting the Terriers in a non-conference contest at Cedardale Health & Fitness. The visitors prevailed by a 7-0 margin.

- Merrimack's freshmen duo of Jan Semerak and Aryaan Bhatia debuted at the collegiate level as the Warriors' top doubles pairing. The duo played a 10-game affair with BU's top pair, but fell by a 6-4 margin. Third doubles also went to BU, 6-2. Second doubles was the closest match of the three, with juniors Conrad Koch and Alec Mackay Rodriguez falling a game within forcing a tiebreak. BU won, however, 7-5
- In singles, Semerak and Bhatia also played at the top spots, at the first and second flights, respectively. Bhatia was forced to retire, and BU won at first singles in two sets
- After not playing during doubles, junior Andre Singer played at No. 3 singles, falling in two (6-4, 6-3). Flights No. 4-6 also went in favor of Boston University, where Koch, junior Hassan El Alami and Mackay Rodriguez all played for the Warriors
