HAVERHILL, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's tennis team won the doubles point on Sunday and claimed victories at the top-two singles flights, but the visiting Siena Saints won at No. 3-6 singles to pick up a 4-3 triumph at Cedardale Health & Fitness.

Jonathan Garcia each went 2-0 on the day, winning each of their doubles matches before prevailing at first and second singles, respectively.

- The Warriors claimed wins at first and second doubles to lead, 1-0, heading into singles. Garcia and partner Alec Mackay Rodriguez dominated at No. 2, only conceding one game in a 6-1 victory. Semerak along with classmate Aryaan Bhatia won for the second time in as many matches at No. 1, 6-3
- Semerak won for the second time at first singles this spring, 6-2 and 7-6 (1). Garcia added his first singles win of 2021 with a dominant showing at the second rung. He quickly dispatched his opponent in the first set, 6-1, before closing out the sweep with a 6-4 victory in the second frame
- The bottom four flights all belonged to the Saints, however. Junior Andre Singer saw his first set go to a tiebreak at No. 3, but fell in two sets. Mackay Rodriguez, sophomore Pedro de Godoy Mancini and junior Conrad Koch filled out Merrimack's lineup at No. 4-6, respectively
