NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack men's soccer team fell against the Duke University Blue Devils 4-0 on Sunday in Durham, N.C. The match was the second all-time for the Warriors against an Atlantic Coast Conference program and the first ever against Duke.Â

The Summary
- Six minutes into the match, Duke scored on a penalty kick goal, awarded on a yellow card for a physical ball battle in the box. Nick Pariano lined up for the Blue Devils for the PK, finishing low right on the attempt.
- Midway through the first half, a pass into the box with an attacking Duke forward tangled up with a Merrimack defender was chipped in for an own goal on an attempted clear.
- In the closing minute of the first, Felix Barajas finished high right to add a third to the Blue Devils lead. He would finish the afternoon with a brace, finishing in the 70' on a shot rising to the left.
- Frantz Pierrot led the offensive attack for Merrimack, with three shots and one shot on goal in the game.

- Goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez faced 21 shots and 11 shots on goal, with Duke working nine corner kick opportunities.
- Rodriguez and defender Trym Kyvaag teamed up for full 90 minute games, with Curtis Moore leading the bench with 66 minutes of competition.
