NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack College women's soccer came up short against the Hartford Hawks on the road Thursday, falling 2-0 in Connecticut.

The Summary

• Molly Murnane opened the match up with a stellar shot in the 5' taking a darting pass through the midfield from Abigail Cieri, Murnane had a rising shot from the edge of the box that skipped over the post and continued over.
• Hartford earned both of its goals early in the match, with the first coming in the 10' on a cross in the box tucked in at the far post for a Hawks lead.
• In the 15' the Hawks converted on a break into the attacking third up the wing, on a chip pass from the far side flank that was chipped in to double Hartford's advantage.
• Merrimack's offense pressured throughout, posting six shots on goal and challenging on seven corners on the night.

• In addition to Murnane's early shot on goal, Vanessa Wainwright led the squad with three shots and two shots on goal, as Sydney Haskin led the subs with two shots and a shot on goal.
• In senior Michele Silva's first start of the season, the goalkeeper turned four crucial saves in her 90 minute appearance for the Warriors.
