The Summary
- Molly Murnane opened the match up with a stellar shot in the 5' taking a darting pass through the midfield from Abigail Cieri, Murnane had a rising shot from the edge of the box that skipped over the post and continued over.
- Hartford earned both of its goals early in the match, with the first coming in the 10' on a cross in the box tucked in at the far post for a Hawks lead.
- In the 15' the Hawks converted on a break into the attacking third up the wing, on a chip pass from the far side flank that was chipped in to double Hartford's advantage.
- Merrimack's offense pressured throughout, posting six shots on goal and challenging on seven corners on the night.
