New Britain, Conn. – The Merrimack College women's soccer team was defeated in its Northeast Conference (NEC) matchup with Central Connecticut State University on a rainy Thursday night, 3-0.

- Just 16 seconds into the game, the Blue Devils scored the first goal of the game to take an early lead. Rebecca Harty had the first shot on goal of the Warriors in the 10th minute, which was saved by the Central Connecticut goalkeeper. Six minutes later, the home team scored again to go up by two. Hallie Shiers fired a shot, Merrimack's second of the night on net. 10 minutes into the second half, the Blue Devils scored for the third time of the game. In the 71st minute Ashlee Purcell launched a shot towards the net which was saved by Central Connecticut.
