The Merrimack College women's soccer team recorded their eighth win of the season, and their sixth in NEC conference play with a regular season ending victory over the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights on the road at the University Stadium in Teaneck New Jersey on Sunday afternoon.

Ella Cormier scored the lone goal of the match at just past 31 minutes of the first half on a counter attack. Erin Tyldesley's interception of the ball in her own half got the possession as she played Molly Murnane on long pass who crossed it in to a sliding Ella Cormier who touched it just past the FDU keeper for her sixth goal of the season.
The Warriors defense should also be commended in the first half as they did not allow a shot on target in the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, Fairleigh Dickinson was able to record three shots but they were all turned away by Lily Morgan.
The Warriors also pushed for a second goal to help put the game away but their two shots on goal were both stopped.
With the victory today, The Warriors were able to move into second place at the moment in the overall NorthEast Conference standings, finishing with 19 points.

- Ella Cormier scored her sixth goal of the season and her third game winning goal of the year as well.
- Molly Murnane continues to be on her hot streak, she's scored or had an assist in four of her last five games.
- Merrimack goalkeeper Lily Morgan had four saves in the win, Recording her second straight clean sheet and her fourth of the season.

The Warriors come home to face a yet to be determined opponent in the Northeast conference postseason. That game will be played on Sunday October 30th and their opponent and start time will be named at a later date.
