MISSOULA, MT. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team dropped the weekend finale against St. Thomas (MN) 72-61.
Ziggy Reid was the leading scorer for the Warriors with 22 points. Reid went 7-10 from the field. Including two three pointers.
Javon Bennett dropped 14 points off the bench, including three shots from deep.

- After St. Thomas jumped out to an early three point lead, Reid knocked down a three to tie the game at seven. Reid had the team's first nine points. St. Thomas was up six with 14 minutes to go in the first half. Bennett and Reid then hit threes on back-to-back possessions to tie the game. St. Thomas then scored seven straight. Nick Filchner ended the run with a three. St. Thomas answered by scored 12 unanswered points to go up 15. Jordan McKoy ended this run with a three. The Warriors ended the half scoring 12 straight points of their own highlighted by two threes from Bennett and one from Mykel Deering. Merrimack headed into the locker room down just three.
- After a back and forth battle in the first couple minutes of the second half, Reid hit a jumper to put the Warriors down 12 with just over 12 minutes left in the game. After a St. Thomas bucket, Devon Savage answered with his only three of the night. Jordan Derkack scored four straight point to cut into the deficit. Both teams went back and forth for the final seven minutes of the game. The Warriors got the lead down to 11 at two separate points, but could not compete the comeback.
