The Merrimack Men's Hockey Team's seven game winning streak came end was they were defeated by the University of Connecticut Huskies by a score of 3-1, in front of raucous home crowd.

The game got off to a hot start as there were no stoppages for the first five minutes of the game and the pace would remain for the period as a whole.
It was
Alex Jefferies who put the Warriors on the board first, snapping the puck home for his fifth of the season just under seven minutes into the game, and the Warriors would hold that lead heading into the first intermission.
In the second, the Warriors were unable to convert on the powerplay, and Connecticut would as they would tie the game at 6:38 of the frame.
The Huskies would grab the lead at just over the six minute mark of the final frame.
The Warriors continued to push play to find an equalizer but were unable to do so, as the Huskies took advantage of a late powerplay scoring the insurance goal with 2:18 to go, putting the game away.
Notes and NumbersÂ
Ottoville Leppanen notched an assist, his ninth of the year and his fifth point in the three games.
Slava Demin also assisted on the Jefferies goal, his eighth point of the season.
