BEVERLY, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's tennis team competed against the Mount St. Mary's mountaineers late Saturday evening from Bass River Tennis Club. After dominating in doubles, capturing the double point, the Warriors faltered in singles as the Mountaineers ran away with this one 5-2.
The Warriors were led by freshman,
Dzhastina Mikhnova, who helped secure the doubles point for the Warriors and then retrieved the lone point in singles play.

- In the doubles side the Warriors had their way with the Mountaineers as they didn't lose a single match in route to the sweep. Senior, Kristina Calistro, and junior, Allyson Nerf, were in doubles #1 and they did not disappoint. The tandem overcame their opponent by winning by a score of 6-1. Doubles #2 saw senior, Rosemary Campanella, and Mikhnova take the court and they followed up their teammates conclusive victory with one of their own coming away with a 6-3 victory. Finally in doubles #3, junior, Mikaela Johnson Campana and sophomore, Nikala Tuffanelli completed the clean sweep with a more challenging match, but in the end came away with it 6-4.
- Contrary to doubles, singles brought some problems to the Warriors as they only came away with the lone victory from Mikhnova by scores of 6-0, 2-6, and 9-7.
