BOSTON, M.A. – Select members of the women's track and field team compete in the Last Chance Qualifier hosted by Boston University. The goal of this additional meet is to allow athletes another opportunity to compete in the upcoming ECAC/IC4A championships. Despite narrowly missing qualification,
Samantha LiPetri and
Ava Mahoney had fantastic performances to close out their respective indoor campaigns.

- Samantha LiPetri, who has found her stride in the 800m this season, post yet another solid time in the event (2:16.56)
- Ava Mahoney, amongst tough competition, set a new school record in the one mile with a time of 5:06.83. This is nearly three seconds better from the next best time on record.

The Last Chance meet marks the end of the 2022 indoor season for the women's program, but two members from the men's side will be competing in the ECAC/IC4A meet on March 6-7. The Spring season for both the men's and women's programs will begin on March 26 at the BSU Bears Invitational, in Bridgewater, M.A.
