Women's Tennis Puts Up Complete Performance For First Win of Spring Season

HAVERHILL, Mass – The Merrimack College women's tennis team returned home from a long road trip in the Florida sun with an impressive performance, capping off their first win of the Spring season by a score of 6-1.
 
The Warriors got complete performances up and down the lineup as the only point they dropped was due to an injury. Newcomer, Dhzastina Mikhnova, continues to shine as she made quick work in her singles contest as she finished before doubles play even began. She also secured a win in her doubles match a long with partner, Rosemary Campanella, who dominated their way through.

  • The singles contests were played first as the Warriors went up quickly as Campanella and Mikaela Johnson Campana finished their matches in under an hour, putting the team up 2-0 in short order. Shortly afterward, Mikhnova and junior, Allyson Nerf, locked up their matches in singles to have Merrimack feeling good going into doubles play.
  • The Warriors capitalized as all three doubles teams captured victories, resulting in the overall score of 6-1 after winning the doubles point.
