How It Happened
- Northeastern had the momentum to begin the game and scored first while on a 4-on-3 advantage just over nine minutes into the game.
- The Warriors found their legs into the second half of the opening frame and it paid off. About three minutes after the Huskies took the lead, Steven Jandric made an excellent play to carry puck out of the defensive zone, then spun and fed a streaking Max Newton for a 2-on-1 chance. The graduate student's shot was stopped, but Uens jumped on the rebound to knot the game at one.
- Borgiel turned in an excellent opening 20 minutes of the game and ended the opening stanza with 20 stops to keep the game deadlocked.

- Northeastern added a pair in the third to secure the win.
Notes & Numbers
- Declan Carlile and Liam Walsh tied for the team-high with two blocked shots apiece.
- Ben Brar fired a team-high five shots on goal.
- Walsh had the best outing at the faceoff dot with 11 wins on 19 chances.
- Merrimack ends the evening in a tie for fourth in the Hockey East standings. It is still guaranteed a first round bye if it gets at least a point in Saturday's game with the Huskies, but can still finish in a top-4 slot, which would guarantee home ice in the quarterfinal round.
