Merrimack Track Carnival Takes Place Despite Rain

NORTH ANDOVER, M.A. – The Merrimack Track and Field program hosted St. Anselm, Bentley, and Stonehill on Saturday afternoon for the Merrimack Track Carnival. Despite heavy rain and wind that made competition conditions less ideal, and inevitably delayed the start of the meet, the event was able to take place with some solid performance by both the men's and women's teams. However, due to how the weather impacted field conditions, Discus and Hammer Throw was unable to take place

Results:

• Jahaida Gabriel (12.94) and Alexandria DiPerri (12.52) took second and third in the 100m dash.
• Emma Faivre (26.54) and Kayla Collins (26.48) finished in the top two spots of the 200m dash.
• Hunter Laubstein (1:01.03) earned second in the 400m race.
• Emma Bouvier (2:24.95) and Lauren Magill (2:26.69) took second and third in the 800m.
• Ava Mahoney won the one mile race (5:13.70) and Samantha LiPetri finished just behind her in third place (5:21.03)
• Kathryn Sullivan earned third in the 100m hurdles (15.40)
• Carla Bouchrouche, Emma Faivre, Hunter Laubstein, and Kayla Collins won the 4x400m relay at a time of 4:07.55

Up Next:
The Warriors will race at home again on Thursday, April 14 against Assumption, Bryant, Stonehill, and UMass Lowell. Competition is set to begin at 2:00 pm.
