NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College men's soccer team suffered its first loss on Thursday afternoon. The Warriors had 10 shots, including four on goal.
Stefano Pesenti had three shots on goal, which led the team.

- Merrimack goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez had his first save of the night in the 8th minute on a shot from right outside the box from the Catamounts. Pesenti had his first shot in the 14th minute, which was saved by the Vermont goalkeeper. Another save by Rodriguez in the final 10 minutes kept the game tied heading into halftime.
- The Catamounts struck first in the 54th minute to go up by one. Rodriguez then made two saves within five minutes of one another to keep the deficit at one. Juri Schlingmann and Pesenti both ripped shots that missed high. Rodriguez had back to back saves in the 72nd minute to keep the Warriors down one. Rintaro Miyawaki had a chance to tie the game in the 89th minute, but the shot was saved by the Vermont goalkeeper.

- Rodriguez finished the game with eight saves.
- The game featured five yellow cards, two for Merrimack and three for Vermont.
