Women’s Soccer Ties Bryant

NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College women's soccer team tied former Northeast Conference foe Bryant University on Sunday afternoon. Sydney Haskin scored the goal for the Warriors on a free kick from just outside the box.

Rapid Recap

  • Molly Murnane got launched a shot on goal three minutes into the game, which was saved by the Bulldog goalkeeper. Bryant scored the first goal of the game in the 16th minute to take an early lead. Erin Tyldesley fired a shot in the 18th minute looking to answer, but the shot was saved by the opposing goalie. Murnane had another shot in the 33rd minute that was saved. In the 37th minute Haskin had a free kick right outside the box that she curved in, tying the game for Merrimack. 
  • Ella Cormier had a shot for the Warriors in the 50th minute that was saved. Cormier had three shots in a three minute span has the game came to a close with nobody able to find the game winner. 

Top Performers // Notes

  • Lily Morgan had three saves in the tie.
  • Cormier led the team with seven shots. 

Up Next

Northeast Conference play kicks off on Thursday when St. Francis Brooklyn comes to town. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
