WORCESTER, MASS. – The Merrimack College field hockey team took a loss on Tuesday night to the College of Holy Cross, 7-3.
Autumn Bartush scored the first goal of a corner.
Cate Buecker and
Lauren Burke also had goals in the defeat.

- The Crusaders scored the first goal of the game 14 seconds into the first quarter of play. Bartush then answered two minutes later with a goal of her own, which was assisted by Julie Wester. Holy Cross scored two straight goals to head into the second quarter up by two. The Crusaders scored one in the second to head to the locker rooms up by three.
- Two minutes into the third quarter, Buecker scored. The goal was assisted by Wester, her second of the game. Holy Cross scored two goals in a row to go up by four. With five minutes to go in the third quarter, Burke scored on a penalty stroke to put Merrimack down three. The Crusaders added a goal at the end of the fourth to win the game by four.
