NORTH ANDOVER MASS - Merrimack's men's soccer team came back from an early 1-0 goal deficit as they drew the visiting Harvard University 1-1 on a cold and damp Tuesday night at Martone-Mejail Field.

- Harvard started the game off on the right foot as James Fahmy found the back of the net, after the previous shot was blocked from Allesandro Arlotti.
- Merrimack nearly tied the game as a great run from Min Jun Jang ended with a shot that just rolled past the left side post.
- Merrimack got their equalizer at just past the 34 minute mark when Curtis Moore scored off a set piece, as a great free kick from Alessandro Negri deflected onto the foot of Moore who put the ball in the net for the goal.
- As the rain began to fall late into the first half into into the second half of the temperature started to drop, the action on the pitch was just starting to heat up.
- Merrimack goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez stopped the Harvard goal scorer with a great save off a corner kick just 3 minutes into the half, Merrimack got their opportunity shortly there after as a great pass from Stefano Pesenti found Jung through on goal only thwarted by the charging Harvard goal keeper Oscar Nillson.
- At the 75th minute in the second half, Pesenti nearly scored a goal of the year candidate, as he took long range shot that was deflected away right under the bend in right post by an equally great save from Nilsson denied the warriors the late lead.
- Both teams continued to push for the goal that would give them the win, but it just was not meant to be as the game finished 1-1.
Top Performers // Notes
- Rodriguez had a season high of 12 saves in the game.
- Moore's goal was his first ever at the collegiate level and he led the team with 2 shots on goal.
- Jang had 3 shots recorded and gave Harvard defenders fits all game with his speed.
