BURLINGTON, VT. – The Merrimack College field hockey dropped its game against the University of Vermont on Friday afternoon, 6-1. Katelyn Bennett had the lone goal for the Warriors in the 32nd minute.

  • The Catamounts scored their first goal three minutes into the first quarter. They then found the back of the net again five minutes later to go up by two goals. In the 12th minute Vermont scored again, going up by three in the first. The Catamounts got their fourth goal of the afternoon three minutes into the second quarter. Meghan McCarthy got the first shot on goal for the Warriors in the second quarter of play, which was saved by the Vermont goalkeeper. The Catamounts fifth goal came in the final minute of the second quarter, send them into halftime up five.
  • Bennett scored the Warriors first goal of the game two minutes into the third quarter. The goal was assisted by Anne-Sophie Hogenboom. A minute into the fourth quarter, Vermont scored its sixth goal of the afternoon.
