Garry Rosemond Jr. had two touchdowns in the Merrimack College football victory over Assumption University on Friday night. Rosemond Jr. had an interception return for a touchdown in the first half and then followed up with a 94-yard kick return in the second half.
Jack Zergiotis threw for 159 yards and two touchdowns.
Jacari Carter had five receptions for 79 yards in the victory.

How It Happened
- The Warriors got on the board first after a one-yard quarterback keeper by Zergiotis. A 48-yard pass from Zergiotis to Carter set up Merrimack in excellent field position. Rosemond Jr. then had his pick six to put Merrimack up by two scores. On the next offensive possession, the Warriors scored on a 22-yard pass and catch from Zergiotis to Hayden Fisher, putting the home team up by three scores. Both teams battled in the second quarter, with neither team getting in the end zone or kicking a field goal. Heading into halftime the Warriors were up 21-0.
- Lliam Davis got the scoring going to Merrimack in the second half after hitting a 23-yard field goal to put the Warriors up by 24. The Merrimack defense held the Greyhounds scoreless in the third quarter. One play into the fourth Assumption finally got on the board, scoring a touchdown to cut the deficit to 17. A two-yard run by Jelani Mason added another score to the Warriors total, putting them up 31-7. The Greyhound added a touchdown of their own on a 29-yard pass and catch, making the score 31-14. Assumption then kicked a field goal on its next offensive possession to make its total 17. On the kickoff, Rosemond Jr. returned the kick 94-yards to the house to add another score to the Merrimack total. Victor Dawson had a 20-yard rush to the endzone to officially put things out of reach and give the Warriors the win.
