Jordan Seyfert scored on a shot that was deflected past the Friars net minder to tie the game up less than five minutes later.

Providence would get the lead back shortly after to have the 2-1 lead after the first 20 minutes.
The Friars would score four times in five minutes to stretch the lead to five in the second period.
Mike Brown and
Will Calverley would each score near the end of the second to cut the lead in half.
 Providence would score twice in the third to finish the game 8-3.
