Men's Hockey Drops a Heartbreaker to Northeastern

The Merrimack men's hockey team lost a 1-0 heartbreaker as Northeastern scored the lone goal of the contest with 92 seconds to play.

Both teams had scoring opportunities and traded powerplays in the first period, but neither team was able to score in the first 20 minutes.
In the second period, both team's refused to give an inch, but the game stayed scoreless with Merrimack's best chance coming when Nikita Borodayenko's shot hit the post.


In the third, Merrimack continued to push but were unable to find the breakthrough.
