The Merrimack men's hockey team turned around a first period deficit with a three goal second period as they battled past the Vermont Catamounts on Friday night.

The Warriors jumped out to the lead early when
Mick Messner would jump on a funny bounce and scored his first goal of the season.

Vermont would tie the game five minutes later, and take the lead on a shorthanded marker shortly thereafter.

The Warriors would dominate the second period, with the first goal coming five minutes into the frame, as
Ben Brar would score on the doorstep to tie the game at two.
The Warriors would grab the lead shorthanded as
Alex Jefferies took the stretch pass and used his speed to score on the one on one chance.

The Warriors would get their third of the period right after their powerplay had ended as
Ben Brar tipped in the
Will Calverley shot to double the lead.

In the third, the Warriors would dig deep having to kill off a major penalty, but held strong to finish out the victory.
