Vermont jumped into the lead early, scoring on the powerplay just over five minutes into the game.

Alex Jefferies fired it home as
Zach Bookman found him streaking through the slot to tie the game at one at the 6:25 mark of the period.

Both teams split powerplays in the third but neither team was able to find the go ahead goal and the game went to overtime.

In overtime, Vermont scored on their only shot, to give the Catamounts the win.
