New Hampshire scored twice in the early going and took that two goal advantage into the first intermission.
In the second period, Merrimack had their chances but were unable to convert until Alex Jefferies scored right after the end of a powerplay assisted by a pinpoint pass from Ottoville Leppanen.

In the third period the Warriors were aided by an awesome glove from Zachary Borgiel who kept the UNH lead at one, Merrimack would take the momentum from that save and tie the game minutes later as Filip Forsmark scored the team's second powerplay of the evening to leave the game as we head to overtime.
