WORCESTER, MASS.– The Merrimack College field hockey team dropped a non-conference matchup against the College of Holy Cross on Tuesday afternoon.

How It Happened
Less then a minute into the game the Crusaders found the back of the net to take an early lead. With less then two minutes to go in the first quarter, Holy Cross scored again to go up by two. The home team opened up with another goal in the second quarter, going up by three.
Anne-Sophie Hogenboom ripped two shots in the 18th minute, both did not find the back of the net.
Julie Wester fired a shot in the 27th minute that was saved by the Crusader goalkeeper. A little over a minute into the second half,
Chloe Agopian scored the first Warrior goal of the game. The goal was assisted by
Femke Sipkema. Holy Cross would add three goals in the third to go up by five. They would win the game by that margin.

Brooke Bolduc,
Sara DeSousa, and
Isabelle Gardiner all played and combined for 10 saves.
Wester led the team in shots with six, two of them were on goal.
