HOMEWOOD, ALA. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team scored a season-high 96 points, including 52 in the second half to beat North Carolina A&T University on Wednesday night.
Adam "Budd" Clark was the leading scorer for the Warriors with 19 points in the victory.
Samba Diallo saw his Warrior high of 18 points in the win. Both
Jordan Derkack and
Jaylen Stinson finished with 14 points.
Devon Savage added 13 points.

- Diallo and Savage combined for the first four points of the night, giving Merrimack an early lead. Three minutes in, the Aggies would get the lead down to three. The Warriors then went on a seven-point run to go up by 10. A three by the Aggies would stop the run. Merrimack then scored seven straight points to go up by 14. With eight minutes to go before halftime North Carolina A&T go the advantage down to nine. A three from Savage would swell the lead back up to 12. Both teams would battle back and forth not letting the lead to get to less then nine or more then 12. Merrimack would finally break through getting the advantage to 14. The Warriors would head into the locker room up 13.
- A Bryan Etumnu layup would get the scoring going for Merrimack in the second half. Three minutes into the half, the Aggies had the lead back down to nine. The Warriors would then go on a run to go up by 17 points. North Carolina A&T would go on a run of their own to get the lead down to 12. With seven minutes to play in the game, the Aggies knocked down a shot to cut the advantage to eight. Merrimack would responded by going on a three minute charge to go up by 17 points, they would not look back from there. 17 points quickly turned into 23, which is the amount the Warriors would win by in their wire-to-wire victory.

- Merrimack shot a season-best 56% from the field in the victory.
- Clark also had a team-high six assists and four steals.
- Etumnu was one rebound and one point away from a double-double.
