Teaneck, N.J.- The Merrimack Women's Softball team came away with a split in the first two of three game set with Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday afternoon

Game 1:
The Warriors scored the lone run in the ballgame as
Courtney Lanpher scored
Thiana Brito with a bunt single in the third inning. That run would be all the Warriors would need as
Bry Michitson was locked in as she would throw a complete game shutout, scattering four hits over seven innings, and striking out a career high nine batters.

Game 2:
In game two, the Knights would score four runs in the first inning to take the early advantage. But the Warriors would game back into the game after an RBI double from
Ellen Hubbard that would score
Sam Russalesi to cut the lead to three. The Warriors would add two more a couple of innings later as
Bailey McDermott would double home
Sofia Palyan to cut the lead in half and then
Madison Cerpa would score
Hannah Scarano one batter later. However the Warriors would fall short in the comeback as they were unable to score the tying run in the seventh.
