North Andover, MA- The Merrimack Softball team emerged victorious in their weekend series deciding game against the Wagner Seahawks by a score of 7-2 on a cold Sunday afternoon.
After a scoreless top half of the first inning,
Ellen Hubbard started the Warriors off with a double and one batter later,
Courtney Lanpher belted a home run to left field to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. The Warriors added to their lead in the fourth inning as
Madison Cerpa had an infield RBI single and one batter later the Warriors broke the game open as
Sydney Samuel dropped a single into left, extending the lead to five. One inning later
Bry Michitson helped her own cause at the plate, smashing a two run homer to center field to take a 7-0 lead. Michitson finished  her complete game from there, only allowing two runs in the final inning, but the Warriors came away with the win.
