STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team dropped their conference matchup against Wagner College in Staten Island, New York on Saturday by a score of 6-16. Three players would score for the Warriors.
Sophie Scearbo would have a hat trick and lead Merrimack in goals.

● The Seahawks opened the first quarter with two goals to take the lead 2-0.
Olivia Valdes scored the first goal for the Warriors at the 11-minute mark in the first quarter. On the following possession,
Olivia White would score the second goal for the Warriors to tie the game up. Wagner would score again however, Valdes would get her second goal of the afternoon to end the first quarter at 3-3. In the second quarter, the Seahawks would score four goals to push their lead up to 7-3. Scearbo would make her presence known to help the Warriors try to come back as the two teams went into the half at 8-4. In the second half, Wagner would take control of the game as they pushed their lead up to 13-4. In the fourth quarter, however, Scearbo would not be denied as she scored two goals on back-to-back possessions to give the Warriors some life. But it was not enough, as Merrimack fell to Wagner by a score of 16-6.
