SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Merrimack College baseball team suffered a loss on Wednesday afternoon against Bryant University, 8-3.

● The Bulldogs scored five runs in the first four innings to set the tone early for the rest of the game. In the sixth, with a man on second,
Frankie Ferrentino singled up the middle to score the first Warrior run of the afternoon. Bryant added two runs in the bottom half of the sixth to go up by six runs.
Michael Golankiewicz singled through the right side of the infield with the bases loaded to add another run to the Merrimack total.
Scott Elliott was then hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to score the third Warrior run. Bryant added a run in the eighth to win the game by five runs.

Golankiewicz was the only Merrimack player to have a multiple hit game.
Christian Scanlon had a hit and scored a run for the Warriors in the loss.
