North Andover, MA—The Merrimack Men's Lacrosse team had a senior day to remember as they were victorious over the Bryant University Bulldogs by a scored of 12-9.
In the first quarter, the Warriors and Bulldogs would trade goals before three unanswered from
Jack Rooney's two goals bookended goalkeeper
Henry Vogt's tally ro put Merrimack up three through the opening fifteen minutes.
In quarter number two, there were two goals scored but the Warriors had them both as
Brian Russell and
Tommy Rooney scored to make the lead five at halftime.
Merrimack kept their foot on the gas in the third quarter as
Kasey Mongillo scored twice and
Jack Rooney completed his hat trick to put the Warriors into double digits with ten goals with 15 minutes to play.
The fourth quarter started with Bryant scoring four unanswered goals to cut the lead to two, but the Warriors would finish the job scoring two of the games final three goals to finish out the victory
