Chestnut Hill, MA- The Merrimack Softball team dropped their contest with the Boston College Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

The Eagles took the lead in the third inning on an RBI single, and the Eagles added a second run in the fifth inning. The Warriors got on the board in the fifth after
Courtney Lanpher hit a one out double and advanced to third on a flyout and would score on a wild pitch, but Merrimack could not complete the comeback.

Notes and Numbers
Courtney Lanpher continues her good streak at the plate, as she had two hits, including a double.
Sofia Palyan had the other hit for the Warriors.
Bry Michitson allowed two runs over 4.1 innings, striking out five batters.
Madie Fornwalt allowed only one hit in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
