TEANECK, N.J. – The Merrimack College baseball team won the final game of their series with Fairleigh Dickinson University on Sunday afternoon 2-1.

Michael Golankiewicz singled down the right field line to start off the top of the first. He did not get to advance.
Tyghe Healy put the Knights down in order in the bottom of the first. In the top of the third Golankiewicz launched his third home run of the weekend, it was a two-run shot that gave Merrimack a two-run lead. Healy continued to roll in the fourth and fifth, not giving up a run, keeping the lead at two for the Warriors. In the top of the seventh,
Ben Nelson drew a walk with one out.
Stephen Santarpia then singled to center, putting two runners on.
Christian Gemelli was the next batter and he drew a walk to load the bases. Merrimack would unfortunately leave the bases loaded in the inning. Fairleigh Dickinson was able to get one run across in the bottom of the ninth, but it was not enough to beat the Warriors on Sunday.

● Merrimack currently holds the final playoff spot heading into the final weekend of the season.
