SOMERSET, N.J. - Merrimack College men's basketball athlete
Jordan Minor was named the Scholar Athlete award winner for the sport among all Northeast Conference participants, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
The honor is chosen among those in the conference that have earned a minimum of 60 credits at each institution, maintained a GPA of at least 3.20 and participated with distinction as a member of a varsity team. Minor earned Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Year and NEC First Team Honors after averaging a career-best 17.4 points per game and a conference best 9.4 rebounds per contest. He also averaged 2.5 blocks per game which was best in the NEC.
He finished his Merrimack undergraduate career with a 3.85 GPA as a communications major.
