NORTH ANDOVER, MASS – On Thursday afternoon, the Merrimack College men's basketball team announced its 2023-24 non-conference schedule. The slate features games against historic programs such as Ohio State University and Georgetown University, as well as three contests in Lawler Arena.
The Warriors open up their 2023-24 season on November 6 with a visit to Burlington to take on the Catamounts. The squad then heads home for a matchup with Worcester State University on November 9. Merrimack then jumps back on the road for two games in three days. The first at the University of Maine on November 12, followed by a matchup with the Buckeyes of Ohio State on November 15. The Warriors will then play a home game on November 18 against Felician University.
Four days later, the squad will participate in the Samford University MTE. The tournament will feature three games in four days. Merrimack opens up with North Carolina A&T on November 22. The Warriors will then play the host school on November 24, followed by a matchup with Alabama State University on November 25. Merrimack will stay on the road to take on Georgetown on November 29. The squad finally plays their first Division I home game of the season against UMass Lowell on December 2.
The matchup will be the first of the season in Lawler Arena.
On December 5, the Warriors will take on the University of Florida in Gainesville. Merrimack will return home four days later to take on the University of New Hampshire in Lawler Arena. After a 10-day break, the squad will jump back on the road for a matchup with the University of Cincinnati on December 19. The Warriors will play their final home non-conference game of the season on December 22 against Bucknell University. This game will also be in Lawler Arena. A matchup with Boston University on December 30 rounds out the non-conference schedule for Merrimack.
The Warriors will look to continue their success from a season ago after winning back the Northeast Conference regular season and tournament title. Merrimack has officially competed its transition and will be eligible for the NCAA tournament for the first time since going Division I.
