Field Hockey Dropped By Dartmouth in Overtime Sunday

HANOVER, N.H. – The Merrimack College field hockey team was defeated in overtime by Dartmouth College on Sunday afternoon. Brooke Bolduc finished the game with a career-high 29 saves in the loss.

Rapid Recap
Two and a half minutes into the game, Lauren Burke scored for the Warriors, giving them a one-goal lead. The goal was Burke's first of the season. The Big Green found the back of the net seconds before the halftime horn sounded. Tying the game. Dartmouth added their second goal five minutes into the third quarter to go up by one. Julie Wester scored her third goal of the season in the 42nd minute, tying the game at two. Wester found the back of the net again in the 47th minute to put Merrimack up one early in the fourth quarter. Three minutes later Dartmouth scored the equalizer to tie the game at three. The game headed into overtime. Five minutes into overtime, the Big Green scored, giving them the victory.

Notes and Figures

Anne-Sophie Hogenboom had two assists in the game for the Warriors.

Wester led the team with five shots, all five of them were on goal.

Up Next
Merrimack will head to Iowa City on Saturday to take on the University of Vermont in a natural site game. The game is set to start at 2 p.m.
