Women's Soccer Takes First Conference Win of the Season Against FDU

North Andover, Mass.-   The Merrimack College Warriors women's soccer team picked up their first conference win of the season as they came from behind to defeat the FDU Knights by a score of 3-2 on Sunday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.

Merrimack (3-3-2, 1-0-0), FDU (0-9-0,  0-1-0)
 

• FDU opened the scoring at 25 minutes in the first half and the Knights would hold that lead into the halftime break.
• Ella Cormier would get the game back on level terms under five minutes into the second half as she took the quick throw in and scored on the ensuing shot.
• FDU would re-take the lead 12 minutes later, but Merrimack would find the quick answer as Isabella Keogh would round the charging goalkeeper on a one on one and put the ball in the open net.
• With a chance to take the lead for the first time in the afternoon, Ella Cormier once again linked up with Molly Murnane as Murnane would beat the defender and the keeper to put the Warriors ahead for good with 18 minutes to go.

• Ella Cormier and Molly Murnane had a goal and assist each.
• Isabella Keogh had the other Merrimack goal with Emily McCabe getting the assist.
