Men’s Soccer Takes Down Dartmouth Tuesday

HANOVER, N.H. – The Merrimack College men's soccer team outlasted Dartmouth College on Tuesday night, beating the Big Green 2-1.

Dartmouth struck first in the 26th minute to take an early one goal advantage. Ian Mackin fired a shot in the 34th minute that was saved by the Big Green goalkeeper. The Warriors would trail by one heading into halftime.

Two minutes into the second half, Laurie Goddard would find the back of the net for the equalizer. Juri Schlingmann would get awarded the assist on the goal. Johan Feilscher fired two shots in two minutes, both which were saved by the Dartmouth goalkeeper, keeping the game tied at one. In the 66th minute, Liam Ziegler would score to give Merrimack its first lead of the night. Both Schlingmann and Bennet Morrill earned assists on the goal. After a great save by Alvaro Rodriguez in the 83rd minute, the Warriors would hold on to the lead and win.

Both Goddard and Feilscher led the team with two shots on goal each.

Rodriguez finished the game with three saves.
