How It Happened
The Friars got off to an early lead, putting the ball in the back of the net four minutes in. Providence would get back on the scoreboard to go up by two five minutes later. In the 20
th minute, Providence would net their third goal of the match. Midway through the third quarter, the Friars would tally two more goals onto their lead to make the game 5-0. Merrimack tried to rally some offense in the 4
th quarter with two shots on goal, but the game would end in a five-goal victory for Providence.
