CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The Merrimack College football team lost a non-conference matchup against Lehigh University on Saturday night. The game took place at Harvard Stadium due to power outages in the North Andover area.

Rapid Recap
After punts on the first offensive possession from each team, Lliam Davis hit a 32-yard field goal to give the Warriors an early lead in the first quarter. Both teams punted their way through the rest of the first quarter. In the second quarter with under a minute to play the Mountain Hawks score their first touchdown of the game. After forcing another Merrimack punt, Lehigh would score again with under 30 seconds to play in the half. A facemark penalty would give the Warriors the ball in field goal range to end the first half. Davis would kick the ball through the uprights from 46 yards to send the Warriors into halftime down eight.

The Mountain Hawks would be forced to punt to start the second half. Merrimack would score in their first possession of the second half. Gavin McCusker would scramble right for a two-yard touchdown run, putting the Warriors down two. The game would end with the score of 14-12 after both teams forced punts for the duration of the fourth quarter.

Notes and Figures

Tyvon Edmonds Jr. would rush for a career-high 140 yards in the loss.

Darion McKenzie would get his first interception of the season.

Kendal Sims and Tyler Leavy would both finish the game with a team-high six tackles.
