Chestnut Hill, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's Hockey team were defeated by the Boston College Eagles by a score of 6-2 on Sunday afternoon at Conte Forum.
The Basics
Merrimack (10-12-1, 3-9-1): 2, Boston College (16-4-1, 9-3-1): 6
Merrimack fell behind only 35 seconds into the game and the Eagles notched another three minutes later. BC scored a third at 7:52 of the first and they would carry that lead to the intermission.
Merrimack found a breakthrough midway through the second period, as Filip Forsmark banked his shot off the goaltenders back to get on the board, but the Boston College would reestablish their three goal lead two minutes later.
Boston College would score their fifth goal of the contest 1:40 into the third and a sixth at the midway point of the period. Filip Forsmark scored his second of the game on the powerplay with 6:38 to play as a consolation.
