Rapid Recap
The first quarter was rather forgettable for Merrimack as they scored just 10 points and fell behind 17-10 entering the second quarter. The second frame was a completely different story as the Warriors would go down early by as much as 12 but were able to completely erase the deficit. Merrimack went up by a point heading into halftime behind a three point bucket from Kiki Thomas and the stellar player of their leader
Jayme DeCesare.
The second half was more of the same as what we saw in the end of the second quarter. The Warriors we're able to add on to their advantage early before the Skyhawks stormed back and took the lead. The Warriors showed resilience here and fought back to take the lead and more. They continued to pile it on in the final quarter with a pair of and-one opportunities from
Kaylee Thomas and
Amaya Staton. MC would go on to win their third straight game by double digits and pushing their NEC record to the .500 mark at 3-3 with the 72-60 victory.
