How It Happened
Merrimack came out firing on all cylinders going up early in the first set and never looked back. After AIC brought it to within two at 9-7, the Warriors blew the doors off with a 12 to 3 run to all but secure the set win. The Warriors would go on to win in dominant fashion in the first set at 25-12.
The beatdown of the Yellow Jackets continued in the second set. It was headlined by a mid set 8 to nothing run that put the Warriors up 14-5. MC would close it out leaving AIC in the rear view mirror in set number two winning 25-14.
The third set the Warriors were looking to close it out and leave the week with a much needed win. It was
Jack Johnson getting the scoring going before teams traded points to start the third. Merrimack quickly jumped out to an 8-2 lead after some
Isaiah Vogel and
Matthew Motes kills. With a small lead to cushion MC they would coast to a win taking down the Yellow Jackets in the third by a score of 25-15.
