North Andover, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's hockey team scored first but Northeastern would score four unanswered to take the win and sweep at Lawler Arena
on Saturday night.
The Basics
Merrimack (10-14-1, 3-10-1): 1, Northeastern Huskies (9-12-2, 3-11-0): 4
After a scoreless first period, the Warriors took advantage on the powerplay as
Ty Daneault scored just
2:10 into the frame. Northeastern however found the tying goal and ultimately the lead, scoring twice in 73 seconds just past the midway point of the game to lead 2-1 into the second intermission.
In the third, Northeastern would snag their third of the game
at 10:02 of the final period and would add an empty netter late to complete the sweep.
