Men's Hockey Clipped by Massachusetts

North Andover, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's Hockey team dropped their final game of their regular season series with the UMass Minutemen by score of 3-2 on Friday night at Lawler Arena,
The Basics
Merrimack (10-15-1, 3-12-1): 2, UMass (14-6-3, 7-4-2): 3
Attendance: 2,314

UMass got on the board first, scoring less than four minutes into the opening period, but Merrimack would fire back as David Sacco snagged his first Warriors goal 10 minutes later to tie the score at one.

The Minutemen took the lead back in the second period, scoring at the 6:25 mark, but their fourth line would convert again as Ethan Bono scored from in tight to equalize the contest after 40 minutes.

UMass would score the game winning goal off a faceoff win in early in the third period and the Warriors would be unable to tie the score despite late offensive chances.
