How it Happened
The big story of the day happened right away, with Ella Cormier scoring the first goal for the Warriors in the 4th minute, solidifying herself as the all-time leader for goals in the D1 era for Merrimack women's soccer. Caleigh Christensen and Abigail Cieri were credited with the assists. The action didn't stop there as the Warriors would pepper more shots throughout the first half. The second half got intense as the Warriors made a goalkeeping change, putting in Kaitlyn Brewi. She did her job and made one save for the Warriors and not giving up any goals. The Warriors would tie the game in the second half courtesy of Julia Ostermann for her first collegiate goal. The game went back and forth the whole way and both teams had great opportunities. But when it was all said and done, the game ended in a tie.
