Boston, Mass.- The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team overturned two separate deficits to tie the Boston University Terriers before falling in the shootout
on Friday afternoon at Agganis Arena.
Merrimack (4-5-1, 2-4-1): 3 (0), Boston University (9-3-2, 7-1-1): 3 (2)
Boston University jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period, but the Warriors would get a goal back in the final two minutes of the first as
Chloe Goofers found the net.
In the second period, Goofers would add her second of the game, on a turnaround rebound off the initial shot from
Maggie Kime to tie the game at two apiece to go into the second intermission.
In the third period, the Terriers would re take the lead but Merrimack would refuse to break as
Maria Lindberg took the stretch pass from
Natalie Nemes and scored on a breakaway to tie the game 3-3, which remained the score through regulation and overtime.
In the shootout, the Terriers would score twice to take the extra point.
Notes and Numbers:

Chloe Goofers' two goals tonight puts her at six so far this season, she's also scored four goals in her last three games.

Maria Lindberg's goal was her fourth of the season.
·
Maggie Kime's assist was her first as a Warrior.
·
Abby Poitras,
Raice Szott, and
Natalie Nemes also had assists for Merrimack.
·
Calli Hogarth made a season high 38 saves and picked up her first ever collegiate assist on Lindberg's goal.
