North Andover, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team came home after a long road trip and beat Boston University on Friday night 64-61.
Adam "Budd" Clark once again led the way for the Warriors on the offensive side of the ball, scoring 18 points, he also dished out eight assists.

- The Warriors opened the game on fire from the field, scoring the first 11 points of the game. Sean Trumper led the way with five of the 11. A layup by the Terriers stopped the run. Trumper and Clark then scored four straight points to send the Warriors up 13. Boston University batted back to get the lead down to nine points with nine minutes to play in the first half. Bryan Etumnu drove the lane for a dunk that put Merrimack back up 11. The Terriers then went on a run to cut it down to seven with three minutes to play in the first. Armandas Plintauskas knocked down a three to increase the lead to 10. Merrimack headed into the locker room up by eight.
- Boston University got the lead down to five early on in the second half. Trumper and Matt Becht then combined for an eight-point run to put the Warriors up 13. Clark found a lane to the hoop for two, giving Merrimack its biggest lead of the night at 15 points. The Terriers went on a five-point run to cut it down to a 10-point advantage. Malik Edmead hit a three to send the lead back up to 13. Both teams battled back and forth. Merrimack found themselves up 12 with nine minutes to play. Boston University then went on a nine-point run to make it a one possession game. Etumnu hit a three to give the Warriors a two-possession lead. The Terriers then hot the lead to just one. Devon Savage found the bottom of the net with a three to put Merrimack up four with four minutes to play. The Terriers then hit a three to push the advantage to one. Etumnu hit his second three in two minutes to increase the lead back to four for the Warriors. After a Boston University jumper and free throw the lead was just one for Merrimack. Becht was fouled and knocked down two free throws with three seconds to play. The Terriers could not tie the game, giving the Warriors the wire-to-wire victory in North Andover.

- Trumper had a team-high four steals in the victory.
