ALBANY, NY. – The Merrimack College women's basketball team wrapped up their non-conference slate with a trip to New York where they were unable to grab a win over UAlbany.

Merrimack was going into New York to close out non-conference play against one of the hottest teams in all of college basketball. The Danes would control the first quarter going up by 14 points. In the second quarter, Merrimack's offense would come to life however the UAlbany attack would not slow down. The Warriors would go into the half down 41-25. Merrimack continued to fight back in the second half cutting the deficit down to as little as 12 at one point thanks to some great play inside from
Madison Roman. Throughout the fourth quarter Merrimack's defensive pressure and intensity increased. The Warriors were continuously trapping and looking to force UAlbany turnovers. The defense would catapult the offense as they scored 20 points in the frame. Unfortunately, Merrimack would not be able to gather in the win losing to the Danes, 79-64.
